    CUSTOM CHROME EUROPE DEALER SHOW 2012 cancelled


    To support parent company, CCE calls off Dealer Show at Mainz/Germany March 24th/25th 2012


    Dear Editors and Publishers,
    It is our sad task to inform you that this year´s 14th edition of the Custom Chrome Europe Dealer Show
    with the 2012 Custom Chrome International Bike Show Series European Championship had to be
    cancelled.
    The surprise news comes from CCE Headquarter Bad Kreuznach and was made to support CCI in
    California where re-structuring is taking place with the task of adapting CCIs US operations to the
    necessities of the current American market situation.
    In 2011, Custom Chrome Europe has enjoyed another record sales year and great success in both
    the European Custombike market as well as the great support for the Dealer Show at Mainz, which
    in the last decade has become one of the most important Custombike events in the European Bike
    Show calendar, thanks to the attending builders, CCE suppliers, CCE customers and Custombike
    press. The glamourous event has given the European Custombike scene a high class showcase for
    their ingenuity and creativity and has been published worldwide. Preparations for the 2012 event were
    well underway and in the final stages, when announcements from CCI Headquarters forced a sudden
    change of plans.
    It was a really tough decision to make a break in such a successful series, states Andreas Scholz,
    Managing Director Custom Chrome Europe GmbH, but we can not celebrate a party when our parent
    company is forced to lay off employees. It is our duty to help them in a challenging time, adds Scholz,
    and fortunately Custom Chrome Europes business is solid to enable us to help.
    Custom Chrome Europes business is not affected by the decision, as the European 2012/2013 Catalogue,
    again in 5 languages, is ready to be printed and European business is running strong. CCE will
    also continue ongoing activities that support the scene, such as the Rookie Award on facebook. We
    will meet our customers at their national events which we will attend with our new show booth concept,
    says Scholz, and we will continue the Custom Chrome International Bike Show Series at the other
    already announced events.

    Schade. Bin zwar kein Fan von Messen aber ein Fan unseres Landes und unserer europäischen Bikee Kultur.
    Wenn ein wichtiger internationaler Event in der Heimat gecancelled wird, ist das hart für mich - rein sportlich gesehen.


    Obwohl Mainz bisher stark multikulturell bestzt war hatte die europäische Szene einen zumindest Medialen Megafocus - und zwar weltweit. Solche Geschichten sind Sprungbretter für Karrieren.


    Jetzt hat man den drei Meter Turm abgebaut.


    Das heißt für viele zukünftig vom 5er im Freistilbad - Salzufflen springen zu müssen. :D


    Wer angesichts solcher News Suizid begehen möchte - man ertränke sich im Bad Spencer.

    Where you come from - Is gone. Where you thought you were going - Was never there.

    Das ist absolute Scheiße! Weil ich das nach einem Jahr Pause dieses Jahr wieder fest im Plan hatte. Und weil es eine verdammt gute Bikeshow, wenn nicht die beste, in Deutschland war.


    Aber zum Glück haben wir ja die AMD, die 2013 in Germany groß angreifen will ... fuck off!

    Ersatz gibts in Essen im Mai nächsten Jahres.
    AMD will da die Europameisterschaft austragen. Wie und was genau da passieren soll, frag ich mich aber auch noch.


    Ob so viele Customizer im Mai überhaupt die Zeit haben, da viel auszustellen ...? :)

    Wer mich kennt, der weiß, dass ich von der AMD nix halte. Neugierig auf die Nummer bin ich selbstverständlich trotzdem ... mal gespannt, wie die AMD die Dealer dann nach Essen locken will. Nur mit nem Ticket nach Sturgis werden sie das wohl kaum hinbekommen ...


    Aber egal, die ganze Sache soll vom 10. bis 12. Mai 2013 stattfinden. Allerdings sollen nicht alle Tage Publikumstage werden. Also ähnlich, wie es in Mainz war.

    AMD........:D :D Der Event soll Big Bike Expo heißen und wahrscheinlich lassen die Verantwortlichen von AMD die Customizer dafür kräftig blechen, dass sie dann ihre Bikes in einem fragwürdigen Wettbewerb präsentieren dürfen.
    AMD braucht hier niemand. Die sind schon seit letztem Jahr in Europa aus dem Rennen.


    Sorry Custom, aber außer einem Flop bekommst du in Essen nächstes Jahr nichts zu sehen. ;)

    Da nimmt man sich nach ein paar Jahren mal wieder vor, nach Mainz zu fahren und dann sowas.
    Hätte gehofft, endlich mal ein paar Leute hier aus dem Forum "live und in Farbe" zu treffen.


    2012 fängt ja gut an, am Walz Hardcore-Day und bei Rado's Opening musste ich arbeiten und die CCE fällt flach.*kotz*
